PEW Study Reports 70% of Americans Support Municipal Broadband
Posted on April 12, 2017 in TechnologyThe American Trends Panel (ATP), created by Pew Research Center, is a nationally representative panel of randomly selected U.S. adults recruited from landline and cellphone random-digit-dial surveys.
According to a study conducted between March 13-27, 70% of the public believe “local government should be able to build their own broadband networks if existing services in the area are either too expensive or not good enough.”
A solid majority of both Democrats (74%) and Republicans (67%) favor municipal broadband networks. For the full study, please click here.
